3 & 4 Year Old Programmes

Kia Ora Whanau!

Get your child ready for a smooth introduction to primary school!

Primary school is a huge step up in terms of learning experiences for all children. Making sure your child is ready for this is essential for ensuring he or she gets the proper mental and social development that will set them up for life.

In Whakatane we run our 3 & 4 year old Bizzy Beelings programme on Monday and Thursday from 9.30am - 11.30am at our office at 76 Alexander Ave, Whakatane.

The programme will operate in much the same fashion as our standard home based childcare service however it will incorporate the special workshops at the Bizzy Buddyz office on Monday and Thursday mornings. It’s a great service that provides a more stimulating learning space for older children, which will help with their preparation and transition into primary school.

Our 3 & 4 year programme will cater for many busy families needs, where the children have the best of both worlds, not just a home environment but maximum learning opportunities too! We feel we offer a unique opportunity for our children to have a safe caring environment where they are free to learn for longer periods of time without too many transitions between different services.

How the new programme will better prepare your child:

  • The key difference is the addition of more structure to allow the children to become used to routines just like they would at school.
  • The children will be encouraged to participate and work alongside others at group time and with projects, helping to build self-esteem, confidence and give them the ability to express their creativity and ideas.
  • Learning necessary skills such as cutting skills, hand coordination, early maths concepts, literacy, science, technology and much more, which will help to set the children up for a productive introduction to primary school.
  • The children will get the excellent learning opportunities that come with low child to teacher ratios but still get the opportunity to learn about socialising with children in a large group at our workshops.
