Some important information for Educarers to write in their diaries or on their calendars.

Annette is an innovative Teacher and Speech Language Therapist who works alongside parents and teachers, with students who have difficulties in the area of speech, language and literacy development.
Annette can create programmes and training to best suit the needs of students in mainstream and specialist schools – at pre school, primary and secondary levels.

                  Meet at Rowing Club at 9.45am to travel together.

                  8th November 10am
                  Meet at Rose Gardens (Mc Garvey Rd)
                  For walk in gardens and picnic.

                  14th November 10am
                   Barbara house (1 Eleanor Place)
                   Water play activities (bring change of clothing.)
    
                  22nd November 10 am
                  5 t 5 a day Diane Sansons Home (69 Pohutu Street)
      

Keep in mind the weather is getting warmer and children need sun protection. Please make sure they are well covered up and sun blocked. Remember, slip, slop, slap.

Keep these dates free for Bizzy Buddyz Christmas Party 2nd Dec, 5pm start. Pot Luck Dinner, Diane Sansons home, for Educarers and families.
Finish evening at the Office on the Strand.
Children’s Christmas Party set for 13th Dec, details to follow.

All profile sheets need to be completed for term 3, parents signature and returned to co-ordinator as soon as possible.
REAP workshop 6th Nov: Lets Make Music

Hope you all enjoyed the professional development meeting with Annette Stock, she was a very interesting person, and I think we all would have benefited from her visit. We have the list of books here in the office that she recommends as NZ culturally and linguistically story books suitable for Pre School children, if you would like a copy let us know.

REAP has offered Bizzy Buddyz some time to develop our skills in the Music and Movement area with Jenny Cairns. We hope to teach the children some Christmas songs to sing to their parents at the children’s Christmas party. As well as making musical instruments and enjoying different ways to move to the beat.

Children’s Christmas Party : 11th  December 2006.   Venue will be Salvation Army Hall cnr of King St and Goulstone Rd.   Time: 5pm start.  Santa arriving approximately 5.45pm and finger food provided for children.  
Parents can you please inform your Educarers of who will be attending by the 4th December, thank you.

All the paper work for OSCAR has been submitted to CYF’s for approval and we are awaiting the inspection of the premises, so hopefully starting in the New Year.
