Term 4, October 2006,

Again, another warm welcome to all our new families and Educarers that have joined our team at Bizzy Buddyz. We are continuing to grow and expand, thanks to the great work of the Educarers and staff that are promoting the business and informing the community what we have to offer.  Maree has been busy getting a new web site on line which you can view at:  www.bizzybuddyz.co.nz.   We need to have permission forms signed by parents to have children’s photos on the site; these have been given to all Educarers to give to parents/whanua.

What’s happening with OSCAR care?  We have applied for C.Y.F.s approval and this process takes about 6 – 8 working weeks. So we will keep you informed over the next month, a long process but well worth the wait for all concerned.

CAREGIVERS PLAYGROUP DATES AND ACTIVITIES

11th October – Paint Day at Diane Sansons home, 69 Pohutu Street. We will meet here at 10 am.
SAFETY WEEK: Safe Kids Campaign.
Fire Awareness, water safety, poisons,
17th October (Tuesday) – Meet at the Whakatane Aquatic centre at 9.30am for a discussion on water safety and a swim for children for ½ hour. Then morning tea in park next door and slip-slop-slap sun screen information.
25th October – Meet at the Heads playground at 10am, for morning tea a walk and a talk.

REAP workshop for November 6th – Lets make music.
       Simple instruments to make and take home.

This term we will be having a Professional Development evening for our Educarers and families if they would like to attend. We have not yet set a date, because we are waiting to hear back from the facilitator Annette Stock. We will keep you informed when we find out more information on this evening.
