Happy 1st Birthday Bizzy Buddyz

 

Yes, it has been a year since Bizzy Buddyz began. And what an exciting and challenging year it has been. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have worked extremely hard for us over this time and for everyone’s patience while we found out feet. It has been a rewarding and fulfilling journey so far. More about our birthday later.

 

Here we are, school holidays upon us again. We hope and trust that you have all had an exciting and productive term with this time for you all to relax a little and catch your breaths. I know lots of Educarers are extra busy with the holidays, but lets hope for some good weather so we can all get out and enjoy the less structured and demanding time.

 

Playgroups were again enjoyable for all that attended. We had some interesting outings to places some children would never otherwise go. It is always great to see the children all playing together and the Educarers getting to know each other. It makes things a lot easier if an Educarer falls sick and needs emergency care for their children if the children are familiar with the other adults and children within the Bizzy Buddyz group.

Playgroups for this term are as follows:

We have contacted the Fire Station to go for a visit but as yet they have not confirmed a date. The prospective dates are the 14^th or 20^th Aug or the 11^th Sep. Once we have confirmation we will contact the Educarers to let you know the date for this.   

 

July 17^th:    McAlister Street park. Meet at 9.45am for some fresh air and fun.

July 25^th:    Science Day at the office 7 Sisam Place. Any time after 9.30am.

July 31^st:    Bizzy Buddyz 1^st Birthday Party at the Salvation Army Hall. Starts 9.45am until 12pm. Come along for some fun and games. Help us celebrate

our birthday.

Aug 8^th:      Snow globes at Val Clayton’s, 218 King Street. Meet at 9.45am and try something new.

Aug 14^th:    Baking Day at the office 7 Sisam Place. Come along and ice some yummy cup cakes and biscuits.

Aug 20^th:    Music and movement at Barbara’s. Bring your boggy shoes and rhythm.

Aug 29^th:    Play dough at the office 7 Sisam Place. Come and see the different play dough we are making.

Sept 4^th:     Have a walk on the beach, bring buckets and spades to dig and make sandcastles on the beach. Meet at Yvonne’s 23 Harbour Road at 9.45am.

Sept 11^th:  Fire Station visit. Meet at the fire station at 9.45am.  

Sept 18^th:  Bouncy castle at Dianne Biddle’s house at 41b Kirk Street at 9.45am weather permitting.  

 

Please have all term 2 profile sheets ready for the co-ordinator to collect when they start their visits again next term.

 

If you need to complete your first aid certificate or do your refresher course, ring the office for the dates that are available for the rest of this year.
