Welcome back to another term with Bizzy Buddyz.

 

We would like to welcome new Educarers to the Bizzy Buddyz team. Welcome to Veronica Maru, Sharlene Maru-Habib, Jackie Maru , Francia Marks, Mishka Lowry, Joanne Nichols, Ferry Segers and Chrissy Heathcote. We hope you enjoy being part of our busy little team.

 

The Rangataua Marae visit was a huge success. A big thank you to Ritihia Livingstone and whanua for the warm welcome and yummy morning tea. Thank you Ritihia for sharing your knowledge with the Educarers and children about the protocols and history of your Marae, it was an awesome experience and one we know was enjoyed by all who attended!

 

 

                                                                                              

 

 

Play groups for this term are as follows:

 

October 15th Wednesday: Garden Fun @ the office, plant a seed plus 5 + 5 a day, 9.30am.

October 21st Tuesday: Maths with Andrea from REAP. At office 9.30am

October 29^th Wednesday: Ball games at Rose Gardens at bottom of McGarvey Rd. Bring some balls, meet @ 10am.

November 4^th Tuesday: BE Creative @ the office. 9.30am

November 12^th: Wednesday: Meet at Rowing Club @ 9,30am to travel to White Pine Bush Walk. Then morning tea @ Julian's Berry Farm.                                                            

November 18^th Tuesday:  Dental Health Nurse Hine visiting @ office for Christmas reminder Oral Care for children @ 10.00am

November 26^th Wednesday: Messy Play activities at Lyn’s home @ 11a Russell St, 9.30am

December 2nd Tuesday: Science activities with Andrea from REAP @ office at 9.30am.

December 10th Wednesday: Children’s CHRISTMAS PARTY. Details to follow.

December 16th Tuesday: Christmas decorations and festive activities @ office at 9.30 am

Co-ordinators will now be referred to as Visiting Teachers.

               

 

FIRST AID DATES FOR THIS TERM ARE: October- 22^nd & 23. Oct – 28^th & 29^th November- 4^TH & 5^TH, 10^TH and 11^th, 20^st and 21st, 29^th and 30^st.

Now the weather is warming up and day light saving has started we will all be looking forward to some outdoor activities? We have lots of exciting adventures planned for this term so mark them on your calendar.

Some more important information for Educarers : NEW TIMESHEETS starting 13^th October.

All Educarers are responsible for collecting their new timesheets from the office each fortnight.

 

A REMINDER The Education (Home-based Care) Order 1992 book states: clause (39) (a);

 

“there must NOT BE – More than 4 children under 6 receiving home-based care in any premises at the same time.”

 

It is a breach of contract to abuse this clause and the Visiting Teachers will be talking with offending Educarers about their responsibilities concerning this matter.

     

Professional Development this Term

14^th October Behaviour Management at REAP House 7pm-9pm

11^th November Kete Resource Workshop with Kerry Limmer 7pm-9pm venue to follow bring pen and notebook

 

 

Open Polytech: Educarers that are working on Module 3, Communication skills, will need resources to complete this paper. We have these resources available at the office. If you need to use them, you will have to go on the waiting list, so let the office know and we will get them to you as soon as possible.

 

We are looking forward to an exciting term and hope to see you at playgroups.
