Term 1, 2009

We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas break with your families and friends and are full of energy to start another great year. With the awesome summer weather we hope you have been taking advantage of the great outdoors. With this amazing weather don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and wrap! Childhood sunburn can cause melanoma in later years so let’s protect ourselves from the suns harmful rays. Maree, Yvonne and Elaine are looking forward to catching up with you all in the New Year.

We say a sad farewell to 2 of our more experienced Educarers. Tanya Ledbetter has moved to Raglan to support her husband in his new teaching position and Annerie Otto who will be working in Kindergartens as a reliever. Thank you ladies for all your hard work as Educarers for Bizzy Buddyz, we will miss you both.

We would like to welcome 2 new Educarers, Ruth Paton and Paula Cowley, to the Bizzy Buddyz team. We hope you will enjoy being part of our childcare and education service.

ATTENTION PROFILE BOOKS

You will need to get your profile books up to date as the visiting teachers will be collecting them in the first term for checking.

IDEAS FOR CHILDRENS PROFILE BOOKS

Attach a clear file at the back of the profile books for extra art work. Leave the children’s profile books out so that they are available to both children and their parents to view at any time. Encourage the children to take part in the stories. Let them take ownership. This is a treasure for life.

PARENTS

Your children would love you to add your own stories to your children’s profiles.

PARENTS

Please ensure you pack enough food to last your child/ren all day. It is better to pack too much than not enough. Maybe provide the Educarer with a loaf of bread, or a bag of fruit.

SOCIAL CLUB NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN

“CONGRATULATIONS” to Dianne Biddle who won the drift kart final race. I must remember to wear shorts next time we race…

The girls rocked the boat around Lake Rotorua while singing and dancing to the local entertainment. Our Whakatane girls won the sing off between Rotorua and Tokoroa tables.  Well done girls!!

Once again, a big thank you to Val for all her hard work organising such amazing events for us all. There will be an increase in our social club costs- 15.00 a fortnight. Any complaints see Val.

EDUCARERS CULTURE FESTIVAL NIGHTPOT LUCK @ Liz Rakuraku’s home -   7 Apanui  Ave.  Wed 4th March @7.00pm.

Bring your own culture dish to share and learn about other cultures.

We are anticipating a busy term and we look forward to reading your stories of learning in the children’s profile books. Thank you for your hard work in creating such wonderful recounts of the children’s learning. Have a great term!!
