Welcome Back to Term 2

 

What an awesome autumn we have had, winter is on its way and we need to have a warm change of clothing in children’s bags, appropriate footwear and woolly hats

 

We would like to welcome three new Educarers, Fran Wharewera, Rochelle Long and Ruth Greyvenstein to the Bizzy Buddyz team. We hope you will enjoy being part of our childcare and education service.

 

Term dates for 2009; April 27th – 3rd July,  20 July – 25th September, 12th October – 17th December

 

Play groups for this term are as follows:

 

April 29th Wednesday: BOOK DAY- All bring your favourite book to share with your friends @ Rachel’s home, 36 Olympic Drive, 10 am onwards.

MAY 5th Tuesday: Meet @ Rowing Club Hall @ 9.30am, CARNIVAL DAY at Poroporo- corner of Rewatu and Te Rahu Rd. Dress up in fancy dress outfits and be ready to have FUN.  Bring morning tea for children.  Balloons, face painting, sausage sizzle and games for all.

MAY 13TH Wednesday: Science Day @ the Office. Magnets and Fishing Games. @ 10.00am onwards.

MAY 19TH Tuesday: Meet at McAlister Street Park for morning tea and play in playground @ 10.00am.                                                           

MAY 27th Wednesday: MUSIC ACTIVITIES meet @ 10.00am @ Office      

JUNE 2nd Tuesday: BOUNCEY CASTLE @ Fran’s house 173 James Street, 10.00am onwards.          

JUNE 10TH Wednesday: GYMNASTICS MORNING. @ Gymnastics Club 11 Lovelock Street.  Start at 10am and bring comfortable clothes and $2 per child. The children will experience balancing, special awareness and jumping.

JUNE 16TH Tuesday: VOLCANO DAY. Learn about volcano’s and magic experiments. @ the office @ 9.30

JUNE 24th Wednesday: TE REO ACTIVITIES @ Office 10.00am.

JUNE 30th Tuesday: Meet at HEADS PLAYGROUND @ 10..00 am.

NZHBECEA(New Zealand Home Early Childhood Education Association)CONFERENCE is being held in Tauranga, September 18th-19th-20th 2009.

This is a great opportunity for our Educarers to be involved in Professional Development and network with others in the Home-base sector. If you are interested in attending contact the office for further details. We need to know if you are interested because we have to register and book accommodation.

PROGRESSIVE BIKE Ride

MAY 2nd (Saturday arvo)

Everybody welcome (not just for Social Club Members)

 Meet at Head Quarters (Office) @ 2pm, with bike, helmet and energy.

 Bring your own drinks to hydrate.  $5.00 to cover nibbles.

Ready for exercise and fun. Finishing at Rachel’s home (36 Olympic Drive).

Will be a van for non-bikers.

If weather wet and cold the occasion will be held at 23 Harbour Road at Shed 23 same time.
