Happy New Year from the Bizzy Buddyz Team. Welcome everyone, to 2010.
We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year with your friends and family. Your batteries should be recharged and ready for the busy year ahead. Please remember in this very hot weather to keep your children’s hats on and plenty of sun block when outdoors. Parents please provide these items for the safety and wellbeing of your children.
A big warm welcome to our new Educarers, Ngaoa Marsters, Chrys Arulambalam, Julie Cuthbert,
Liz McGregor and Tracey Dean. We hope you will all enjoy being part of our childcare and education service. We say a sad farewell to two Educarers who have decided to go back working in the school system. We wish you both well and we will miss you both. Good luck for the future, Annette Vanstone and Paula Cowley. A big welcome back to Tarnya Ledbetter who has returned to us from Raglan.

During playgroups Educarers need to be aware of their children’s whereabouts at all times.

The children’s Christmas party was a great success. Thank you to Fran Wharewera for opening your home to us and providing the bouncy castle from Little Wascals. Everyone had a lovely time.
Congratulations to Sieanna Livingstone for completing your Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood, in December and on the arrival of your little girl on 14th January, 2010. What a busy lady you have been, well done!
Congratulations Elaine on completing your Teacher Registration. Well done for all the hours and hard work you put into completing your teacher registration.
First Aid Course will be scheduled for early May, so if you need to sit your first aid or complete a refresher, please ring the office to book in.
EDUCARERS APPRAISALS- we will conduct Educarer Appraisals. During this exercise we will be checking children’s Profile Books, your program planning, training that has been completed and your attendance to Professional Development meetings. Someone from the office will contact you to make an appointment.
SAFETY- This term we are focusing on fixture and fittings in the home environment. These need to be attached to the wall where possible for the safety of the child. Also we will be looking at NAPPY CHANGING PROCEDURES.
Bizzy Buddyz is now fully licensed under the new Early Childhood Education Regulations 2008 and we all need to comply with the new policies and procedures. Thank you to all who were involved in the process with Ministry of Education, opening your homes and giving your time to help get our new licenses.
Professional Development for Educarer’s on 2nd March 2010
Sport B.O.P will be focusing on Physical Movement and Growth and Development for preschool children. Parents are welcome to attend.
Venue: St Josephs School Hall Time: 7pm – 8.30.
We look forward to seeing you all out and about, doing some amazing things with the children. Remember to slip, slop, slap and wrap. Stay sunsmart this summer.
